My mental/emotional health has been lacking lately, due to some transitioning back home, resulting in crappy physical health. Not really a surprise, just something I need to work on. I realize that without a stable internal foundation, my health is hopeless.
So today, I’m working on doing some activities that sort of “enrich my soul.” Since I can’t do much physically with the condition I’m in anyway, I figured I’d indulge in what I can do, but have been putting off, i.e. painting, knitting, meditating, yoga, etc. I’m also going to drink lots of water and tea and try to abstain from anything real sugary. Hopefully a nice relaxing weekend full of things I enjoy doing will propel me to push myself harder during the week.

If you click the picture it will take you to a nice blog post about not taking your body for granted!
I read this post and burst into tears. Here I am, pretty much perfectly capable of turning my life around and yet, I don’t. I am taking my body for granted. Though it may not be very healthy at the moment, it CAN BE. I’ve allowed my negative mental state to dictate how I take care of my body (or don’t), which in turn, turns into health problems, which perpetuates the negativity. But I can break this cycle. I do have control over this.
Somewhere, I have one of these angels, making sure I don’t get too comfortable. Because if I were to get even more comfortable in all of this, I’d miss my life. And as much as I feel that I have missed a lot of my life… I don’t want to anymore.
